I forgot to tell you that I made the front page in our local newspaper.

One of my granddaughters must have thought that I like chocolate.

My name is Don and I'm a bonsaiholic.

Now, where are those tablets?

I apologise for the unreadable small print.  The reduced pixels are to blame.  I didn't know that this was going to be printed. It reads;

Yes, it is exactly 80 years today since Donald Alfred Smith (aka Stymie) was born; 80 years since his mother gave birth to the wonderfully talented, exceptionally intelligent, undeniably gorgeous and of course modest Donald.

Everyone who knows Donald is astounded by how good he looks for his age. Many of his friends thought he was at least twenty years younger. He puts his youthful looks and toned physique down to fresh air, excercise and drinking plenty of goat's milk.

Donald's involvement with goat husbandry for 40 years has led to his recognition as a leading authority in the field. More recently, he has become internationally renowned for his contribution to the art of bonsai, yet fame has never gone to his head.

Throughout his 80 years, he has always been kind and generous, especially in offering his advice. This thoughtful consideration for those around him is one of the reasons he has remained such a popular and likeable character.

Donald is loved by all who know him, particularly his family members, who are thrilled to be celebrating his birthday. His wife Mary has been making preparations for several weeks and his children and grandchildren are looking forward to the occasion.

Details of the event have yet to be finalised, though it is understood that the Sheffield Constabulary have drafted in additional officers and cancelled all leave for the day. Detective Superintendent Simpson said, "We're not taking any chances; a close friend of the birthday boy told us a story or two about him and we felt it best to monitor the situation carefully."

I just had to add this one.  The Arthur Lowe impression got better after a while.

My name is Don and I'm a bonsaiholic.

Now, where are those tablets?
