I thought I'd strim a small patch of grass yesterday, only to have the Strimmer give up the ghost. Had to finish it with shears. I always have a bad back after using a Strimmer, so it might be for the best. Won't be getting another one.

I have potato leaves showing and starting pulling up grass that's growing in the plot, which is newly dug from grass covered ground.

Want to put out my courgette but will wait a while. The beans are planted.

I've been there too, potting on, sowing, planting, weeding and digging. 'Oh my poor old back.' It's all worth it though.;) Tomorrow is another day.

Hi All,

Hope you are taking advantage of this 'dry' mild weather like I am.

Have started to tackle the perennial border down the left hand side of the rear garden. Oh dear, chickweed, old crocus leaves and dandelions/nettles more than 2'6" high :) but I'm winning :)

Even cleaned the little 'frog pond' and topped up the grit around the hostas to deter the snails. Also been dividing several plants and potting up same for the 'sales tables' at our local summer fuchsia/horticultural shows.

All in all a good Sat./Sun's. days work, hopefully it will stay dry tomorrow so that I can continue :)
