I bought a southern beech(Nothofagus antartica) today that is really bushy and quite a bit taller than I would want so I was thinking about doing some air-layering to take off the excess growth before I cut it back to the basic structure.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do multiple air-layers on the same trunk/ branch simultaneously?

Dick has told us that he did this.  I forget what the specie was. Drop him a PM.

I personally think that it is possible yet I haven’t tried it out before. I guess you should contact the person and give the internet a go. Search for more information regarding your matter. And it wouldn’t hurt if you did it. it might turn out to be a success, if it doesn’t, you can always revert it back the basic structure and let it grow again. But that is the risk you would have to take.
