Notwithstanding the remarks about deciduous deadwood. This was the only way with this individual tree.  What about that taper - isn't it great?

Don, the deciduous trees i had with dead-wood look better without it. yes the tree is coming along nicely now

yes its looking well although just starting to lose its leaves, a tad later then my other acers, not sure why?

Looking forward to re-potting it & further refinement.
