Very nice! I have one of these growing in the garden to get some new branches,hope it looks somewhere near this good in a few years!

Looks really good. Do you find that the growth comes on very quickly with these? They can get away from you really quickly if not checked so I would imagine a lot of constant pinching would be required to maintain the shape.

Yes Larry they need a lot of pinching for a few months. Also I remove new branches where i don't want them.

Also it is difficult to wire these as the stems are hollow bugt they are fun little things to work with, and they are related to Olive and Privet! Excuse me but plant associations fascinate me!

thats a really nice example & lovely to see it in flower. i have a forsythia, which was saved from the bonfire, pics will appear later when it looks more like a bonsai & less like a log (its not small)
