Kath.  Can this be Katsura? The name tag is misplaced.  =Don.

Hi Don,

To be honest I've never heard of a fuchsia by the name of Katsura, so bearing in mind the colours of the sepals and corolla have been searching for anything beginning with KAT, not been successful yet but will keep searching

I had this cutting without a name tag and found one bearing the legend Katsura nearby.  They may be unrelated Kath.  I didn't intend to be a pain.  There is a tree and also a pieris japonica bearing this name and maybe there is no Fuchsia

I'll contact the original source of the cutting and ask the same question.  It could be something entirely different. I'll get back with anything that I find out.  I think this is a sweet little variety.

I didn't manage to ID it.

This one is 'Sunset'  I don't notice the bugs until I've taken a photograph.

Well done Don,

I should have recognised it, used to grow it many moons ago :-)

It's been around for quite a while, hybridized in America in 1938.

Here's 'Garden News' which seems to be able to stay outside all year.

Yes indeed Don,

Garden News is an 'official BFS' hardy, and what a beauty it is, especially as it's a a double and makes a very large bush after a couple of years.
