It certainly is nice to have a new skill, Don.
You are very welcome to my efforts. I don't know how I missed the question in your post - silly me!
I'm still having trouble with a lot of the clues - will have to get a list of Latin names from the internet.

In response to the avalanche of enthusiasm I'm not doing any more unless asked. Is there something else that you would like better? I'm pliable.

My imaginary friend Givitago takes over when I'm not sure of myself in print. He's not a complete fool - several bits are missing.

I don't know which puzzle you are talking about Kath. Do you need print-outs of the answers?

| Kath. There are two puzzles on page one. As you have problems with 3down I'll answer both of those. I've still got problems with printing out the grids. E SEAM A QUOIT unscrambles to METASEQUOIA and FRESH C LEAF becomes SCHEFFLERA. Nah nah na nah nah.

| I haven't seen any home made chickens on offer around here. Our weather is atroceous. I just had to tog out in snorkel and flippers to go and get my hair cut. I had intended to go in my electric buggy but it would have been washed away. Where's the Brandy?
