Hi Don,

So sorry to tell you that the security of the site does not allow PPS files to be admitted. such a shame as it's beautiful.

Yes, I enjoyed seeing it, too, Don. Thanks for emailing the PPS.

Cold here on a hectic day. The three whippets, who come to stay regularly, arrived and are here until Wednesday. I walked the Labrador along the tow path to meet his minder, who'll look after him for the weekend. I'd volunteered in the charity shop in the morning. I also walked my dogs and the neighbours' JRT.

Bought some Aran wool this morning and a pattern - rather nice, it is. It looks like a Gurnsey in shape, has a plain bottom half with cables, then what looks like moss stich in a panel at the top. It will make a break, knitting larger wool, from knitting the Guernsey.

I see the local fabric/wool shop has a quilting course (too expensive for me at the moment). Have you tried quilting, Kath?

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Sounds as if those knitting needles are 'flying' at the moment Penny , but we all have to have our winter hobbies now that the trees/plants are 'asleep' for a while.

It's mostly 'card-making' for me at this present time, especially Christmas Cards, have several Craft Fayres to go to before Christmas.

No Penny, I've had a go at most things in respect of needlework/papercraft but never had a go at quilting, it always amazes me when I go to Alexander Palace to the 'Knit & Stitch Show', the displays of very large pieces of quilting and some of them all done by hand

I don't know about the "Stitch & Sew" show, Kath Sounds very interesting and worth a visit. You'll have to let me know when it's on and I'll see if I can get to it. It is amazing to see the wonderful creations produced by needlework.

Yes, the Aran is started. I need to knit 13 inches before adding the panel of pattern (like a Guernsey) - I've done around 7 inches. I'll work at it and get it finished so I can wear it and keep warm and then get on with the Guernsey.

It must be very nice and satisfying to make your own cards.

Watching "Midsomer Murders" and waiting for the replay of the England rugby game. Saw the Wales game earlier.

Have a good weekend, all of you, and keep warm.
