Hello.
I've always wanted a plum tree in the garden and don't know why I waited until I retired before planting one. These are my first ever plums.

Seeing them really lifts my heart - silly, I know, as that's what trees do, grow and produce fruit, but I'm very pleased to have them growing and am looking forward to eating any that survive.

How wonderful Penny, I know the feeling you're experiencing , where the bonsai garden now is I used to have a Victoria Plum and Greengage and a whole row of cordon trees, mixed apples and pears, Cox's, Bramley's and Conference Pears. There's nothing like 'picking your own', be it fruit or veggies.

What a shame you don't have room to have them all, still, Kath.
I'll let you know what they're like when I get to eat mine.

Hello Mr. j Boff.
How nice, you'll enjoy growing plums. I planted my dwarf Victoria plum four years ago, if I remember rightly. In its second year, it was moved by a builder and that set it back for the following year. It wasn't happy. Looks as though it's forgiven the move and started to produce fruit.
A plum bonsai would be fun.

Welcome to Garden planters,
I used to have a Victoria Plum and Greengage and a whole row of cordon trees, mixed apples and pears, Cox's, Bramley's and Conference Pears. There's nothing like 'picking your own', be it fruit or veggies.
