Hello.

I joined the committe of the Senosry Garden, which is situated in the town Park - a little walled garden where people can sit - and volunteer, helping in its upkeep. Here is a link to some photos I took while there the other day.

A tranquil spot to escape to from the rodent race Penny. Is it near to your home?

My name is Don and I'm a bonsaiholic.
My imaginary friend Givitago takes over when I'm not sure of myself in print. He's not a complete fool - several bits are missing.

Hello Don.

Yes, a nice place to sit.

The garden is situated just inside the entrance to the town Park and it takes me around 15 minutes to walk there - quicker on the bike!
Lots of leaves from the plane trees to sweep up at present.

There's to be a ceremony, shortly, and planting new trees round the war memorial in the park, and part of the ceremony will take place in the garden. Local TV reporters often use it for filming interviews.

How lovely Penny, not just to go there and admire but also to be involved with the upkeep, real community spirit, I'm sure you will enjoy every minute

Yes, Kath. A very nice thing for the town to have. There was opposition to it, people not wanting their rates spent on such a project, not understanding that its provision and upkeep is voluntary. Who wouldn't want such a place in their town, any way? The lady in charge of volunteers was accosted, working in the garden, and asked what she'd "done" to deserve having to do the work - someone thought that people working there must be criminal offenders paying back in the form of community work.

It actually rained here in the night! Need more, though.

Oh my goodness Penny,

It just shows what kind of world we live in doesn't it, nevermind, I always say "It takes all sorts".

Rained here too, on and off, during the past two days, but like you, it's not nearly enough, but as the saying goes, "Every little helps"

It's raining again today, Kath. And, I agree, every little does help.
