Update on Billy - Billy is doing very well. She doesn't seem to know she has sutures. Not having a bandage helped. She would have fussed with that. She has a strip of "Primapore" adhesive dressing stick along the incision and it's doing very well. The vet was pleased with her progress and she has her sutures out on Friday.

A hard frost overnight but beautiful sunshine now, at 10.45 a.m.

Hope you all have good weather to get out in your gardens.

My new pots arrived by carrier this afternoon.  I wasted no time because the Crataegus 'Paul's scarlet' was on the point of breaking leaf and time was of the essence.  Its potted up already in the pot that I had visualised it in. I'm trusting that the May blossom will not be impaired.

My name is Don and I'm a bonsaiholic.

I watched Monty Don last night as he visited more gardens.  This time in China and Japan.   The Chinese mountain scenery took my breath.  I hope that more of you enjoyed it half as much as I did.

I missed that one, Stymie, but will watch it on the computer, using the BBC iPlayer. By coincidence, I watched the American one yesterday as I'd missed that, too.

The China and Japan visit sounds very good. Look forward to seeing it.

Stymie (3/3/2008)
The Chinese mountain scenery took my breath.

Me too! It just showed so clearly where the inspiration for some bonsai styles come from. I thought the Lion Grove was fascinating too
