Never participated on a Bonsai forum or club in my near 25 years of tinkering in this most enjoyable hobby. I thought I would just post a couple to begin with. Oh, I also drive a Smart car and enjoy my model railways. Must be something with small things:-)

So these few are between specimen and work in progress. All owned by me for at least 20 years. Mostly purchased from the bargain basement section and bought on or grown on for many years to thicken and slowly re-style.

I constructed a 'Bonsai-House' from raw timber (no kit) 12 years ago where I live now. 45' x 28' and all open to the elements.

Look forward to getting involved.

Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to Bonsai Garden Forums.

Wonderful trees and beautifully displayed in your open Bonsai House, stunning.

Yes I think we all have two or three different hobbies, mine are crafting for those dull winter days when everything outside is asleep

Just one little thing, as you see I have resized some of your photos, when you next add photos could you keep the width of same between 600 - 640  pixels, any larger than this, it distorts the page, hope you don't mind me mentioning this.

Come back soon Kath

Not at all Kath and thank you for taking the time - to not only tell me, but in re-sizing them for easier viewing.

Actually I tend you use photo bucket for file (pic) storage. What is the simplest way to resize please Kath.?

I store mine in 'My Pictures' or 'Photoshop' and usually resize them in 'My Pictures' as I find it very simple .

As you store your images in Photobucket, is there not an easy "Edit Image" in there?

Yes I do and I wanted to be there yesterday to create an mpeg of pine candle reduction and thinning. Sadly it drizzled all day and meant decorating the Kitchen took priority.

Perhaps I can do it today.
