I have a dawn redwood that I started an airlayer on last year which I have had to over- winter as I did not feel it had enough root on to seperate from the parent plant.

I am hoping that will have enough roots on it within the next 2 months. Would it be ok to pot this up whilst it is 'in the green' or would I need to treat like a larch and pot it up before the buds break?

Look at your other post of this question Nige.  I answered it there.

My name is Don and I'm a bonsaiholic.
My imaginary friend Givitago takes over when I'm not sure of myself in print. He's not a complete fool - several bits are missing.
