 Red Maple Plant Use ready mix bonsai soil water two times a day morning and dinner time Is my plant to young to be put in a bonsai pot with bonsai soil? Zone - not sure North eastern USA-Connecticut

You're plant would surely die because you already put it in a bonzai pot and bonzai soil.

Your tree will be fine in that pot for a year or two, but once it reaches about two feet tall, if you want to build a thick trunk, you will have to grow it on in a large tub or in the open ground.
