In the aftermath of my long association with goats, I am gradually removing the fodder trees and getting back to what the garden was intended for. Its an arm wrestling undertaking but it will happen. I have a few fruits and veggies but the removal of the 'wild life' area is a protracted job. You've never seen such huge piles of material drying in anticipation of being burned. At least we will not be short of potash. There are also piles of logs laid aside for warming the house.

My imaginary friend Givitago takes over when I'm not sure of myself in print. He's not a complete fool - several bits are missing.

I don't envy you Don I've just finished cutting the 8ft high privet hedges surrounding the garden, that was bad enough, not the cutting but the clearing up of the cuttings seems to have taken me forever

Hi

I know what you mean, I been away for a couple of weeks only to return to find my garden a virtual jungle! I had better get out there and start cutting everything back soon.

I'd love to see some pictures. It sounds like a big job. It's an ordeal for me just to clear a small garden sometimes based on all the growth.
