hi guys i am new to bonsai and have recently bought a mature Chamaecyparis lawson in a 3 gallon tub. the trunk was probably 10-15 mm in diameter, i cut it down to around 9 inches and cut off any remaining branches on advise from an article i read on the internet. i have been researching it more and more and am concerned i have ruined my tree! any advise would be hugely appreciated.

thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Your rough location and a photograph of the said tree would help any would be advisers.

Hi Shanus,

I see that you live in Ipswich, Suffolk, but as Stymie says it is much easier for us to give advice if you could post a photograph, thank you
