Is it me or are there less dandelions this year? normally the lawns in the gardens where i live are covered in them, but this year there are few??

Come to think of it, there are fewer dandelions here too. What unusual climatic change can we thank for this? We've been having to use lettuce in our salads this year. Has anyone got a theory? What was the weather like when the clocks were expelling their floaters last year? Could it be that people are no longer using them as clocks so that the seeds are not dispersed by blowing?
