It is with infinite sadness that I have to tell you that Kath Van Hanegem, the proprietor of the 'Bonsai Garden' forum died at around 10.00 p.m. on the 16th of January. Commiserations to her husband Henk and son Jan. She wished that I will continue to administer the site, which I respectfully promise to do while I am able.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to Kaths family & add that I am deeply shocked & saddened by the dreadful news. Kaths input & her presence will be missed by all those who contributed to her forums.

Hi Don,
The funeral of Kath Van Hanegem will be held at Weeley Crematorium on Friday 3rd February at 12:30. After the funeral we shall be celebrating my mother’s life by holding a small wake at Brightlingsea Bowls Club. Everyone who wishes to attend the funeral and / or wake to celebrate my mother’s life is very welcome and we very much look forward to meeting you all.
If you could post this message somewhere on the forum it would be very much appreciated.
