I've been trying to learn about gardening by experience for the past year...and basically killed or can't grow anything in my front garden as in the summer it dosn't get a lot of sun maybe an hour or 2 a day...can any 1 suggest any good shurbs ...plants...anything to get the ganden half decent..the soil has clay in it aswell...
For my balcony i've just planted today a nice climbing purple rose that i'm hoping to train along the balcony...any hints or tips

Clay soils are often acid, you can test this with a ph kit and bear the result in mind when making your choices.
